About Mandalas

The Sanskrit word Mandala means “circle”.  In religious practices and in psychology it symbolizes any circular image, which is drawn, painted or woven. Often Mandalas contain a multiple of four, in the form of a square, star, cross an octagon and other shapes.  As an important symbol in every culture from ancient times to the present the Mandala has and is used in magic, meditation and religious practices around the world.  As a symbol of eternity, family, serenity and the power of love we often use a Mandala everyday when rings are exchanged during a wedding.  We also see the Mandela in the Native American Dream Catcher.  Prints of my Mandelas are available on fine art paper in a variety of sizes.
